Dee Dee Halpin, M.S.
Dee Dee Halpin is a graduate of The University of Texas-Austin, with a Master of Science in Special Education. She has been a classroom teacher, an Educational Diagnostician in the public schools and in private practice, and currently works as an Educational Consultant. She has served as President of the Johnston Middle School PTO, and on the boards of River Oaks Elementary, Shlenker School, High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and Bellaire and Lamar High Schools.
Dee Dee's husband, Bob, is a pediatrician who is also a graduate of The University of Texas-Austin and UT Southwestern Medical School. Dee Dee and Bob have three children: Rebecca, a graduate of New York University; Denise, a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin; and Matthew, a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center. They also have two precious redheaded grandchildren who will both be in elementary school this year.
Julie Blumberg, B.A.
Julie Blumberg is a graduate of The University of Arizona, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Julie is an educator who founded her tutoring business, Motivation Houston, in 2014 after a career in the elementary classroom. While in the classroom, Julie taught both second grade and fifth grade. Julie has always enjoyed the one-on-one aspect of teaching the most. Her mission, besides teaching curriculum, has always been to build and instill confidence within each and every one of her students. She believes that this is the very first step in the process of academic reform.
Julie and her husband, Stuart, married in January of 2015. Julie and Stuart have two daughters, Zoe (5) and Ruby (2). Stuart is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Zoe and Ruby are not quite sure where they want to go to college, but their mommy says they have plenty of time!
